Saudi Arabia and the Of Like Mind Arab Emirates (UAE) are the largest oil suppliers to the world's second largest saving Japan and account for over half of the country's oil imports, WAM hearsay medium reported Tuesday citing Japanese regulation figures.

Saudi Arabia remained the largest unfinished oil supplier to Japan in May 2009, exporting 31.4 million barrels per day and accounting for 28.8 percent of absolute its oil imports.

Japanese oil imports from the UAE stood at 23.9 million barrels per day in May 2009, representing 22.7 percent of the absolute oil imports.

Arab unfinished oil formed 82.2 percent of Japan's oil imports for the month.
